Partnerships
Building Community
The following opportunities for partnerships will be available once the campground opens. Ideally all partners will belong to one or more of our target communities or at least be an ally. Our target communities include LGBTQ+ folks, Pagans, fetish communities, and other related communities.
Business Partner
Mel is open to the possibility of sharing the business with a business partner. A suitable business partner would be able to invest half the funds needed to purchase the initial land, buildings, and assets necessary to start the business. The ideal business partner would have experience running a small business or managing a campground or other hospitality related business. He, she, or they would also have an enthusiasm for hosting camping retreats and gatherings.
Food Service
Initially one or more external caterers might be contracted to provide meals for retreats, gatherings, camp out weekends, and special events. As the campground grows, there might be opportunities for on-site food service which might eventually include a coffee house, snack bar, or even a restaurant and bar.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping would likely be contracted out during the early stages of the campground. Housekeeping will be responsible for cleaning and restocking the bathroom and shower facilities. As the campground will initially be open limited days and times throughout the year, housekeeping would mostly be needed during camping weekends, retreats, gatherings, and special events. As the campground grows and more days are added to the operating calendar, housekeeping might remain a contracted service or a staff person might be hired to fill this role.
Groundskeeping
As with housekeeping, groundskeeping would likely be contracted out during the early stages of the campground. Groundskeeping would include mowing, landscaping, and cleaning up litter and trash on the grounds. This will likely be seasonal work. As the campground grows, groundskeeping might remain a contracted service or a staff person might be hired to fill this role.
Community Partners
There may be periodic opportunities for organizations and businesses in the local community to partner with Olympus Campground to host special events or to provide services for those events.
